Minto-Brown Island Dog Park Amenities
Minto-Brown Island Off-Leash Dog Park offers more than 1,200 acres of lush land. Even Central Park in New York City can’t match the size of Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem.
An off-leash dog area of 30 acres is available for your dog to roam, play and meet other dogs. Be aware that the park is not enclosed, so your dog should be well-trained in recall (come) skills before visiting. The owners are ultimately responsible for keeping their dog from chasing wildlife, as there is plenty of it around.
For dog owners’ convenience, the Minto-Brown Island Off-Leash Dog Park has benches and a few all-weather shelters. Pick-up bags are also available but are located at the edge of the parking lot, so make sure to grab some before entering the park. It is also your responsibility to dispose of waste in the garbage cans, which are also located at the parking lot’s edge. Also, water is not provided, so bring your own as well as a bowl for your dog. Adventure out to the park and have a great time.
